Malfunctions and troubleshooting
In the event of a malfunction...
Malfunctions are often caused by minor faults. You
can easily remedy most of these yourself. Please
consult the following table before contacting the ven-
dor. You will save yourself a lot of trouble and possibly
money too.
Cause
Gearing faulty?
Angle of awning set incorrectly?
Hinged arm is not correctly align?
Is the canopy angle set unevenly?
Are the wall brackets not attached in
a perfectly horizontal position?
Cloth distorted?
Are the wall brackets not attached in
a perfectly horizontal position?
Do not open the battery.
DANGER! Danger of injury! The awn-
ing's hinged arms are under very high
spring tension. Disassembly of the awn-
ing may cause serious injury. Please con-
tact your dealer if the hinged brackets do
not function properly.
Please contact a specialised company in
case disassembly is required.
NOTICE! Possible damage to the awn-
ing fabric! After using the awning for sev-
eral times, one or both hinged arms may
hang unevenly or in slanting position. In
this case, the hinged arm must be
adjusted (► Setting the angle of the awn-
ing – p. 38).
Note: To ensure trouble-free operation of
the awning, the hinged joints of the hinged
arms should be lubricated at regular inter-
vals using a resin-free and acid-free oil.
Remedy
Contact your local vendor.
Adjust the angle of the awning
(► Setting the angle of the awning –
p. 38)
Align the hinged arms (► Aligning
the hinged arms – p. 38)
Adjust the canopy angle so as the
same on both sides.
Mount the wall brackets horizontally.
Line the shaft with awning material:
Completely extend the awning and
place a piece of fabric on the side
that will not close all the way, right
where the cloth begins. Then care-
fully retract the awning again, so
that the fabric retracts together with
the awning cloth. That will cause the
cloth to move back further with
every rotation and the awning can
completely close.
Mount the wall brackets horizontally.
