User's manual | ÓPALO Safe Box
4.5. Emergency code change
Each box leaves the factory with a unique factory code (you will find it on the label of the envelope
provided to you). For your safety, we recommend not changing it.
If you want to do so, follow these steps:
1. Open the door with the emergency code.
2. Press the "#/Reset" key; the red light will illuminate, and the programming tone will sound. The
display will show "PROGRA".
3. Enter the current emergency code (factory set, indicated inside the enclosed envelope). With
each press, the red light will illuminate, and a short "beep" will sound. If the code is correct, a
programming tone will sound.
4. Press the "2" key.
5. Press "#Reset"; the red light will illuminate, and 2 short tones will sound.
6. Enter the new code (3 to 15 digits), followed by the "C" key. The programming tone will sound and
"CODE" will appear on the screen.
7. Enter the new code again to confirm. If it is correct, the programming tone will sound, and the
green light will illuminate, indicating that you can now close the safe. If it is not correct, the error
tone will sound and you must restart the process. The display will show "SUCCESS".
We recommend opening and closing the bolts about three times without closing the door
to check that the new combination is correct.
4.6. Opening delay programming
This feature activates a delay that blocks the safe from opening for 1 to 99 minutes from the moment
the user code is entered. During the delay period, the red light flashes and the safe cannot be
opened. After the set time has elapsed, the system unlocks the lock, emits a short beep and allows
the safe to be opened for 5 seconds. To activate or deactivate this feature, the door must be open.
Activate the function
1. Open the box with the user code.
2. Press "C100". You will hear the programming tone and the red light will illuminate.
3. Enter the number of minutes (01 to 99) you want to set as a delay; the programming tone will
sound again.
4. Enter the number of minutes of delay again to confirm. If correct, on the screen "GOOD" will
appear.
