State of California Proposition 65 Warnings
The California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act requires the Governor of California to publish a list of
substances known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm, and requires
business to warn of potential exposure to such substances.
WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth
defects, or other reproductive harm. This appliance can cause low-level exposure to some of the
substances listed, including benzene, formaldehyde, and carbon monoxide.
Grounding Instructions
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock
by providing an escape wire for the electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord that has a grounding wire
with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance
with all local codes and ordinances.
WARNING: Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock. DO NOT modify the
plug provided with the appliance if it will not fit the outlet. Please have a proper outlet installed by a
qualified electrician.
Consult a qualified electrician or technician if the grounding instructions are not completely understood or if doubt
exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded.
Electrical requirements
The electrical requirements are a 120 volt, 60 Hz, AC only, at least 15 amp fused electrical supply. It is recommended
that a time-delay fuse or separate circuit serving only the washer be provided, otherwise the circuit may be tripped or
fuse may be blown. The appliance is equipped with a 3-prong grounding plug. It must be plugged into a wall receptacle
that is properly installed and grounded.
WARNING - ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD: Connect to grounded 3-prong outlet. DO NOT remove ground
prong. DO NOT use an adapter. DO NOT use an extension cord. Failure to follow these instructions can
result in electrical shock, fire, or death.
WARNING: Do not ground to a gas pipe. Check with a qualified technician if you are not sure if the
appliance is properly grounded.
Installation
What's in the Box
Make sure all of the following items are included in the packaging. Supplied parts should be in the washer drum. If any
items are damaged or missing, contact your local dealer.

WARNING: The washing machine, water connections, and electrical devices must be connected by a
qualified technician in accordance with the instructions in this manual and local safety regulations.
WARNING - RISK OF FIRE: Clothes dryer must be installed by a qualified technician. Install the
clothes dryer in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and local codes. It is possible during
installation to obstruct airflow and increase the risk of fire. To reduce the risk of severe injury or death,
follow all installation instructions carefully.
