4. After water runs out, put the cap back on the drain hose and put it back in the machine.
5. Open the filter by turning it counter clockwise (Fig. 19).
6. Remove any foreign objects and other materials that may clog the filter (Fig. 20).
7. Re-insert the drain pump filter and turn clockwise to secure in place (Fig. 21).

WARNING: When the appliance is in use, there can be hot water in the pump. Never remove the pump
cover during a wash cycle. Always wait until the appliance has finished the cycle and is empty. When
replacing the cover, ensure it is securely tightened.
Emergency Door Release
In case of power failure or other circumstances in which door cannot be opened, pull the emergency door release pull
cord located inside the drain pump filter cover door Fig. 22).
WARNING: DO NOT pull the emergency switch pull cord while the machine is washing. In extreme
circumstances, the machine door may need to be opened with water still inside. Wait until water has
completely cooled to avoid burns caused by high temperature residual water outflow from the tub.
