Filter Maintenance
The tap filter, machine filter, and drain pump filter must be cleaned regularly to ensure the machine runs smoothly and
with the correct amount of water.
WARNING: Pull out the power plug to avoid electrical shock before cleaning any filters. After running the
washing machine as directed, pull out the power cord and close the door tightly to avoid pinching.
Cleaning the tap filter
If there is insufficient water coming into the machine, the tap filter may need to be cleaned.
1. Close the tap.
2. Select the Normal/Cotton seting.
3. Press the button "Start/Pause" and keep the procedure running for about 40 seconds.
4. Remove the inlet pipe from the tap.
5. Use water to wash the tap filter.
6. Reconnect the inlet pipe and turn the tap back on.
Cleaning the machine filter
1. Remove the inlet pipe from the back of the machine.
2. Pull out the filter with long nose pliers and wash it (Fig. 15).
3. Replace the filter and reconnect the inlet pipe.
4. Open the tap and make sure there are no leaks.
5. Close the tap.
Cleaning the drain pump filter
The drain pump filter is designed to catch threads and small foreign objects that may be present in the washing
machine. Clean the filter periodically to ensure normal operation.
WARNING: The pump should be inspected if the machine does not empty and/or spin. The machine will
make an unusual noise during draining due to objects such as safety pins, coins, etc. blocking the pump.
Always clean the filter regularly.
CAUTION: Allow the water inside the unit to cool prior to draining from the pump filter. Failure to do so
could result in burns or other injury.
1. Have a bowl or bucket on hand to catch any water that my run out of the filter.
2. Locate and open the lower cover panel for the drain pump filter on the front of the machine (Fig. 16).
3. Pull out the emergency drain hose (Fig. 17) by rotating it 90 degrees, take off the hose cap and place it in the bucket
or bowl (Fig. 18).
