Selecting the Right Detergent
Your washer is designed to use high efficiency (HE) detergents.
● Low-sudsing, high efficiency (HE) detergent and washing powder, or washing powder made especially for drum
washing machines, should be used in this appliance for best cleaning results.
● Select a detergent that is suitable for appropriate fiber types (cotton, synthetic fiber, soft products and wool
products), colors, washing temperatures, soil levels, water hardness, etc. Otherwise, excessive suds may be
generated and overflow out of the unit.
● Please use powder or liquid detergents. Other cleaning agents could leave residue on clothes or in the machine.
Powder detergents tend to leave residue and bad smells on clothes, so an additional rinse cycle may be needed.
● Bleach can damage clothes, so it is suggested to use as little as possible.
● Follow all instructions provided by the detergent manufacturer and run wash cycles at an appropriate temperature
to avoid build up of detergent on clothes, in pipes, or in the machine. Detergent cannot properly dissolve if water
temperature is too low or there is too much detergent.
Note: Keep detergents and other laundry additives in a safe and dry place out of reach of children.
Stain Treatment
Stains can be pre-treated with liquid detergent or other stain removing agent and a soft bristle brush. Blot the stain
with detergent or other stain removing agent and scrub gently with a brush prior to washing. Once the stain has been
treated, the article can be washed with other items according to the care instructions. Areas that are easily stained such
as white sockets, collars and sleeves, etc. can be hand washed before being put into washing machine to achieve better
results. Bleach can be used to pr-treat stains in small amounts.
Sorting Laundry
For best results, laundry should be sorted by fabric type, color, and soil level. Follow all instructions in this manual and
on the manufacturer's care label of each article placed in the machine. Do not wash clothes or other articles if care label
instructions and washing requirements are not present.
CAUTION: Before loading your laundry, make sure that you remove coins, keys and other hard objects.
Close all zippers, buttons and fasteners. Hooks on curtains or other items should be removed prior to
washing. These items may cause damage to the machine or clothes.
Sorting laundry items by fabric type
Fabric types suitable for this machine: Articles made from cotton, blended fiber, silk, wool, synthetic fiber or artifical
fiber are all suited for washing in this machine.
Fabric types NOT suitable for this machine:
● Ties, waistcoats, heavy jackets, or other items that can become distorted when immersed in water should not be
washed in this machine.
● Waterproof materials such as wetsuits, raincoats, umbrellas, or other waterproof items should not be washed. These
items do not absorb water and may cause abnormal vibration or movement. This may cause damage to the machine
or material during operation.
● Delicate silks and furs should not be placed in the machine.
● Never wash clothes stained with chemicals such as gasoline, petroleum, benzene, paint thinner, or alcohol.
Sorting laundry items by color
Wash whites and colors in separate loads to prevent certain colors from staining white items and damaging them.
● Brand new colorful items should be washed separately for the first time to ensure the dye does not bleed onto other
items in the wash.
● To check if the dye from an item of clothing or other material will bleed onto other items, take the corner of a wet
white rag with liquid detergent and rub it on the article to be washed. If the rag becomes stained, this item will need
to be washed separately.
● Scarves and other clothes that can easily fade should be hand washed separately.
● Some colors or patterns on certain fabrics may become distorted or fade if they are not washed according to the
care label provided by the manufacturer. Check all labels and follow instructions carefully.
