FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
Before removing engine bolts, ensure the bike is upright and supported by a suitable engine
stand or jack placed under the sump of the motorbike to support the partial weight of the
engine, this will prevent the engine from moving during fitting. DO NOT REMOVE MORE THAN
1 ENGINE BOLT AT ANY TIME.
PREPARATION:
Place a suitable jack beneath the engine in a central position using a piece of wood between the
•
jack and engine.
•
Apply very light pressure to the underside of the engine to support the engine during the
fitment process.
INSTALLATION:
LHS
•
Remove the engine/frame bolt in position arrowed in Picture 3 (using 8mm hex socket).
•
Take the longer crash protector spindle bar (item 4) and fit one of the M10 Nyloc nuts to the end
with the shorter thread (ensure to engage the nut fully).
•
Next take one of the plain M10 washers (item 5) and place over the spindle bar so it sits against
nut just fitted.
•
Take the locking washer (item 6) and place over the spindle bar so it sits against the plain washer
just fitted.
Place this assembly through either of the crash protectors (item 3) so the nut and washers go into
•
the counter-bore in the crash protector.
