Install outside indicator assembly.
1a Rotate the indicator module spindle until the sign moves
down and uncovers the arrow markings.
Do not use tools on spindle!

1b Place the indicator module against the door.
1c Install the alignment cylinder with cylinder spring as
shown. Use any slotted screwdriver, lever wrench, or
coin to rotate the cylinder.
Make sure tabs are
flush with chassis.
L NOTE: Rotate until the cylinder is flush with surface.

Slot in alignment
cylinder must be
vertical.
Use a level or the armor plate to ensure the cylinder face is
flush to the shaded areas as shown.
L NOTE: Slot in the alignment cylinder must be vertical
after installing the alignment cylinder.
Install mounting screw with flange.

Before fully tightening the screw, use a level to align the
module assembly so that it is parallel with the door edge.
DO NOT drill the door hole through the module
opening!
1e Install outside indicator escutcheon assembly
1f Proceed with the appropriate steps to install trim on
opposite side. If both trims are installed, proceed to page
11 to complete installation.
L Note: Alignment
cylinder face
needs to be flush
with indicator
module surface.
L Note: If not pre-drilled, mark
the top hole of indicator
module, remove module,
and drill a ⁵/32" hole. Follow
steps 1a to 1c to reinstall.
