1.1 Replacing EC controllers with DV controllers
1.1.1 Purpose of this instruction
1.1.2 Technical change in Modbus IDs
Old EC-controllers are not in production any longer. Therefore, in the case of a defect EC-controller, it
must be replaced it with a new DV- controller.
New DV-controller
The old EC controllers were configured as Master/Slave when communicating with the internal modbus,
meaning only 2 modbus IDs were required to connect to EXact2.
The new DV controllers are not configured with Master/Slave IDs, meaning each of the 4 DV/EC
controllers need their own modbus IDs to connect to EXact2.
As such, in a situation where 1 new DV controller is combined with 3 old EC controllers, the 3 old EC
controllers must be reconfigured from Master/Slave to the 3 new modbus IDs by changing DIP switches.
Any new DV controllers are already programmed with the correct Modbus IDs by default.
