• No modifications may be made to the pro-
duct!
• Check the product for damage or wear
before each use. Use the product only if it is in
perfect condition!
• The product's light source is not replaceable;
the entire light must be replaced once the light
source has reached the end of its service life.
Battery warning notes!
• Remove the batteries when they are flat, or
if the product is not in use for an extended
period.
• Do not use different types or brands of battery
or new and used batteries together or batter-
ies with different capacities as these can leak
and cause damage.
• Ensure the polarity (+/-) is correct when insert-
ing the batteries.
• Replace all batteries at the same time and
dispose of the old batteries as prescribed.
• Warning! Batteries must not be charged or re-
activated by other means, taken apart, thrown
into fire or short-circuited.
• Always keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries!
• Cleaning and maintenance must not be car-
ried out by children without supervision.
• Clean the battery and device contacts as
needed and before inserting.
• Do not expose the batteries to extreme condi-
tions (e. g. radiators or direct sunlight). Other-
wise there is an increased risk of leakage.
WARNING! This product
contains a button cell lithium
battery. A button cell battery can cause severe
internal chemical burns if swallowed.
• Warning. Used batteries must be immediately
disposed of. Keep new and used batteries
out of reach of children. If there is cause to
suspect that batteries have been swallowed
or have entered the body, seek medical help
immediately.
Danger!
• Handle damaged or leaking batteries with ex-
treme caution and dispose of them properly as
soon as possible. Wear gloves when doing so.
• If you come into contact with battery acid,
wash the affected area with soap and water.
If battery acid gets in your eye, rinse it with
water and seek medical attention immediate-
ly!
• The connection terminals must not be short-cir-
cuited.
Inserting/replacing batteries
(Fig. A)
WARNING! Observe the following
instructions to avoid mechanical and
electrical damage.
Remove the protective foil (1a) before using the
product for the first time (Fig. A).
To insert and replace the batteries (2), proceed
as shown in Fig. A.
Note: you will need a suitable screwdriver (not
included in the package contents).
Note: check the plus/minus poles of the batter-
ies and insert them correctly. The batteries must
be completely inside the battery holder.
Turning the light on and off
(Fig. A)
You have two lighting modes to choose from.
Press the button (1b) to do this:
Press 1 x: the timer function is on, the light is
permanently on.
Press 2 x: the timer function is on, the light
flashes.
Press 3 x: the light is switched off.
Note: in the timer function, the light is on for
6 hours and off for 18 hours. This rhythm repeats
itself daily.
Use
• Remove all packaging materials from the
product.
• Spread the product on a clean and dry
surface around the trunk or over the Christmas
tree stand.
