Therefore theblade only has to be changed if it is
twisted, collateral rounded or becomes worn.
► The driving wheels are subjected to wear. They have
to be changed after approximately 16 mm (0.6 inch)
of the surface has been worn away. Otherwise the
working angle of the striking apparatus will not be cor-
rect especially critical with cork or foam backed
carpets.
4.2 Start up
► Consider the mains power. The voltage of the
power supply has to be conform with the specifi ca-
tions of the type plate.
Operation is only permitted with the hood (5)
permissible.
Attention
Attention:
Check the machine before use:
► The blade has to be mounted properly.
► Make a test run of min. 1minute.
► Do not use damaged blades.
► Damaged blades can burst and injure.
4.3 Switching on/off fi g. H
► The TURBO-STRIPPER EMK is operated by using the
handle on top of the central control panel. The machine
is switched on using switch (19). It starts immediately.
► The red lever (2) switches the drive on/off .
► By pressing the emergency stop switch (20) in the
event of danger, the entire machine can be shut
down. By turning the switch, the emergency stop is
reset.
► The machine is equipped with a zero-voltage switch.
It prevents accidental start-up after the power supply is
Reconnected
► After switching off the machine, the brake (14) must be
applied to prevent the machine from rolling away.
► If power is interrupted during operation, the
TURBO-STRIPPER EMK must be switched on again
by pressing key button (1)
4.4 Engaging and disengaging
► The coupling (EMK) can be engaged and disengaged
with the lever (2) (red).
► By operating the lever (2) the drive is engaged and the
connection from the engine to the wheels is establis
hed.
► When uncoupled, the machine is easier to manoeuvre,
allowing the machine to be pushed from A to B.
The striking mechanism continues to run.
4.5 Brake
► Before actuating the clutch (2), make sure that the
brake is released. To do this, press the foot pedal (14)
upwards.
5.0 Transport
To avoid injury dismount the blade while transporting the
machine. Pull out the plug from the mains. Take off the plug
of the coupling (2) fi g.B and insert the emergency-run-plate
(1). Screw in thumb-screw (3) until the driving wheels are
Blocked to avoid the machine rolling away.
5.1 Carrying belt
To carry the machine, the provided carrying belts will be
fi xed at the 4 brackets (13) fi g.A.
5.2 Brake
During transport, the brake (14) must be applied to prevent
the machine from rolling away.
6.0 Maintenance
Maintenance and Cleaning
► Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains
plug.
► For safe and proper working, always keep the machine
and ventilation slots clean.
The machine must then be sent to an after-sales
Service agent. Addresses are listed in the Section
"After- sales service and customer assistance".
If the machine should fail despite the care taken in
manufacturing and testing procedures, repair should be
carried out by an after-sales service centre for WOLFF
power tools.
