OPERATIONS
IMPORTANT! Do not dump the waste slurry into your plumbing system or
down a drain. The sediment in the slurry can harden and block the drain
system. Consult the instructions in the Disposal section for instructions
on disposing of the waste.
1.
Remove the barrel (#12) from the unit and then remove the knurled nuts
(#7) along with the washers (#8).
2.
Remove the barrel lid (#9).
3.
Load the barrel to 1/2 capacity for polishing and to 3/4 for more pointed,
abrasive rocks.
•
It is imperative to always load the barrel with the proper amounts of
materials. Failure to do so may result in unsuccessful performance or
motor damage.
4.
Ensure all materials are similar in nature.
5.
Add enough water to reach the bottom of the top layer of rocks. Plastic
pellets (not included) can also be used.
6.
Seal the rubber barrel and replace the barrel lid along with knurled nuts
and washers.
7.
Set the rubber barrel on the roller shafts (#4, 42).
8.
Make sure the stops (#6) are lightly touching the barrel lid (#9). This will
prevent them from rubbing and will reduce friction.
9.
Turn on the power switch (#27).

Make sure to check the lid seal during the first ten minutes to ensure
that it is not leaking.
10. For best results, use a five-step process: first grind, second grind, pre-
polish, polish and burnish.
a.
Remove and clean the contents with fresh water after each stage.
Also clean debris from the rubber barrel.
b.
The first grind typically takes 7 to 10 days to round the sharp edges.
