Connecting the trailer control module
15. Depending on the variant, connect the 12-pin connector or the 12- and 18-pin connector to
the trailer control module.
16. Fasten the trailer control module (Fig. 1/6) to the right-hand side of the luggage trunk using
some velcro tape. Make sure it is securely fastened!
17. Connect the brown wires with the eyelet to the vehicle's ground point (Fig. 1/5). If necessary,
set up a conductive connection to the vehicle's ground.

18. Lay the cable harness with the red cable as shown in Fig. 1/11.

19. Let the quick-connect receptacles of the red cable (Fig. 3/5) of the cable harness and the one
of the supplied separate red cable (Fig. 3/4) lock into place in the fuse holder.
20. Install the yellow clip (Fig. 3/6).
21. Screw the separate red cable to a suitable terminal-30-connection, e.g. to a fuse carrier, or to
the positive terminal of the battery.
22. Insert the fuses (Fig. 3/2) and fit the cover (Fig. 3/1).
23. Repeat steps 19 - 22 if a second cable has to be installed.
Note
Ensure sufficient strain relief and correct installation of the fuse holder.
