The appliance has a temperature limiter as well (to prevent the water in the tank from boiling) that
disconnects the heating unit; the LED does not light up in case of emergency:
c) Disconnect the heating unit from the mains by pulling the plug out of the socket.
d) Determine the cause of the problem.
Carefully turn the knob to the minimum position until it stops (Figure 1), and then remove the cap from
the knob (by reaching below the cap at its edge); it is designed to cover the safety opening (Figure 2).
Make sure that the recess on the knob reaches through the opening on the housing.
Then use a thin hexagonal screwdriver or hard wire (ø 1.8-2.2 mm) to reach in the recess on the knob
(about 2 cm) until you feel resistance, and press firmly the safety button, until you hear it releasing.
After releasing, glue the cap back to its original position (Figure 1), connect the heating unit to the mains,
and set the knob to the desired temperature. You are not recommended to set near maximum
temperatures, since high temperatures will cause scaling in the water heater, which will result in
excessive energy consumption and premature wear of the heating unit.
