10. Press the start/pause button to start. Three dashes then light up consecutively from left to right
on the display. This indicates the motor is running. It continues while the appliance is on.

You can pause the appliance if you want to add/remove ingredients during use or if you
want to adjust the temperature or timer. Press the start/pause button. The dashes of
the operating motor will flash on and off on the display to let you know the appliance is
paused. If you want the appliance to continue cooking, press this button again.
11. You can take the fryer basket out of the appliance in between to shake up the ingredients or
to check how fried your food is. The appliance stops working automatically and will continue
working (if the set time has not yet elapsed) when you slide the fryer basket back into the
appliance.
12. At the end, a bell will ring to indicate that your food is ready. The unit then switches off
automatically. You can also turn the device off earlier by pressing the start/pause button and
then pressing the power button to turn the device off completely.
13. Remove the deep fryer from the appliance and place it on a heat-resistant holder. You can put
the food in a bowl or take it out of the deep fryer with heat-resistant tongs that do not scratch
the non-stick coating of the deep fryer.
MUTE
Press "MUTE" to turn off the sound the device makes in any setting. If you enable this function,
the appliance will not emit a sound, even when the selected settings have completed and the
device switches itself off automatically. A symbol appears on the display to show that the mode is
activated. Press MUTE again to switch off the function.
SHAKE
The appliance is equipped with a function that reminds you to shake the food in the fryer during
use to obtain an even frying result. Press this button to activate the function. The associated symbol
appears on the display.
Halfway through the frying process, the "SHAKE" symbol will light up on the display to remind
you to shake or turn the food in the fryer. An audible signal will also sound. If you do nothing, the
symbol will remain lit.

The appliance does not pause automatically, it will only pause if you briefly remove the fryer
from the appliance. It will continue working (if the timer is still running) once you slide the fryer
back into the appliance.
SYNC
Use this function to complete cooking in the two zones (with the same temperature setting) at
the same time. You can divide the fryer basket into two frying zones with the supplied frying rack
divider. The fryer basket has three slots to slide this divider into. This means you can either create
two equally sized baking zones or one larger zone and one smaller one.
1. Press zone 1 and set the desired temperature and timer.
2. Press zone 2 and set the timer for this zone.
3. Press SYNC so that zone 2 is set to the same temperature of zone 1.
4. Place the food with the longest cooking time in the appropriate zone; the food for the shorter
cooking time zone will be added later.
5. Press the start/pause button to start the appliance.
6. The appliance will make an audible signal when the timers of both zones synchronise. The
display will show the message 'ADD FOOD'. It is now time to add the other food to the other
cooking zone.
