ASSEMBLY STEPS
Please see illustrations at the end of the manual for further assembly instructions.
I
Assembly of spring:
1. Place W1 (21) element between first and second scroll of spring (V). Pay attention for correct positioning of the bracket
(refer to point 5).
2. Place W1 (20) element between second and third scroll of spring. Tilt at an angle W1 (20) element and insert it into W1
(21) element. Push the whole until it's blocked. Pay attention for correct positioning of the bracket (refer to point 5).
3. Place W2 (23) element between first and second scroll of spring. Pay attention for correct positioning of the bracket
(refer to point 5).
4. Assemble from the bottom of spring elements W1 (22) and W2 (24).
5. Before proceeding to point 6, please check correct positioning of all brackets. Marks on all brackets should be located
inside of the spring toward the closer end of the spring. On corresponding drawing no.5 shown correct bracket's posi-
tioning and examples of its wrong positioning.
6. Assemble spring with anchor (X) by using 4x hardware set no. 17 (W3). Screw on the nuts with the ratchet spanner.
7. Place W1 (21) element between first and second scroll of spring (V) (looking from the top). Pay attention for correct
positioning of the bracket (refer to point 11).
8. Place W1 (20) element between second and third scroll of spring (looking from the top). Tilt at an angle W1 (20)
element and insert it into W1 (21) element. Push the whole until it's blocked. Pay attention for correct positioning of the
bracket(refer to point 11).
9. Place W2 (23) element between first and second scroll of spring (looking from the top). Pay attention for correct posi-
tioning of the bracket (refer to point 11).
10. Assemble from the top of spring elements W1 (22) and W2 (24).
11. Before proceeding to point 12, please check correct positioning of all brackets. Marks on all brackets should be located
inside of the spring toward the closer end of the spring. On corresponding drawing no.11 shown correct bracket's posi-
tioning and examples of its wrong positioning.
12. Assembly spring with suspension frame (G) by using hardware set no. 17 (W3). Screw on the nuts with the ratchet
spanner.
13. Repeat all assembly steps for the second spring.
IIa Assembly of spring and flat anchor:
1. Find a suitable location to install the spring toy. See FIG II. After installation the concrete foundation will need to be
covered with a shock absorbing surface. The use of rubber tiles is recommended.
2. Place the flat anchors (X-a) horizontally at distance 1160mm between each another (1157mm between suspenions)
using the spirit level, at the desired location and mark holes.
3. Drill 8 holes of 90 mm deep.
4. Remove the dust out of the drilled holes.
5. Put 8 wedge anchors (Y) in the holes.
6. Screw on the nuts of 8 wedge anchors (Y) by using ratchet spanner.
IIb Assembly of spring and concrete anchor:
1. Find a suitable location to install the spring toy. Do not dig holes in loose soil or sand. The soil should be stable and
compacted to provide proper support. See FIG II.
2. Dig two holes for concrete anchors (X-b). Holes need to be located 1405 mm between each other (measured from the
middle of hole). The hole needs to be 700 mm wide at the bottom and 400 mm deep.
3. Flatten the bottom of holes and stamp with your feet. Place concrete anchors (X-b) straight up in holes at distance 1160
mm between each other (1157 mm between suspensions). The best way is to use a spirit level. You can fix this position
by putting a heavy stone or brick on the lower plate.
4. Mix enough concrete to fill holes. Be careful to follow the manufacturers instructions. Pour concrete into the hole. Be
careful to keep the spring and upper side top plate free of concrete. Make sure the spring is straight using a spirit level.
5. Allow concrete to set overnight before going to step 6.
6. Cover the visible concrete with soil so that the complete ground level is flat again. Make sure the ground is covered in
a suitable way (eg. rubber tiles, bark, wood chips,...).
III Assembly of the spring toy:
1. Remove two square and two round plugs from AA side and two round plugs from BB side (between suspensions (G)).
2. Assembly joint (T) to suspension frames (G) by using hardware set no. 13 (U1) and 14 (U2). Pay attention to the correct
assembly of the joint. The AA side is for the trailer, the BB side is for the excavator.
3. Assembly the excavator arm (C) with right and left support (I and J) to the suspension frame (G) by using hardware
set no. 3 (H3) and 6 (H6).
4. Assembly the bucket (F) and handgrip (H2) by using hardware set no. 2 (H2) and 5 (H5).
5. Assembly right and left caterpillars (A and B) to the suspension frame (G) with the footrest (D) mounted in between.
Use hardware set no. 1 (H1) and 4 (H4).
6. Attach the seating (E) to the suspension frame (G) by using hardware set no. 7 (H7).
7. Attach the seating (N) to the suspension frame (G) with hardware set no 12 (S5).
8. Assembly side panels (L) (M) to the suspension frame (G) with the front panel (P) mounted in between. Use hardware
set no. 10 (S3) and 11 (S4).
9. Assembly front (R) and rear (Q) wheels with the footrest (O) mounted in between (rear wheels). Use hardware set no.
8 (S1) and 9 (S2).
Remark: The soil under the spring animal requires an adjusted surface that is shock absorbing!
