Danger!
• Handle a damaged or leaking battery with
extreme care and dispose of it immediately as
per regulations. Wear gloves for this.
• If you come into contact with battery acid,
wash the affected area with soap and water.
If battery acid gets into your eye, rinse it out
with water and seek medical treatment imme-
diately!
• The terminals must not be short-circuited.
Inserting the batteries
WARNING! Follow these instructions to
avoid mechanical and electrical dam-
age.
Three batteries are included with the product;
these must be removed from the packaging
before insertion.
1. Remove the lid from the product.
2. Remove the battery compartment lid (1a) from
the battery compartment (1b) (fig. A).
3. Insert the batteries (2) into the battery holder
(fig. A).
Note: Pay attention to correct plus/minus polar-
ity of the batteries and their installation.
The batteries must fit fully into the battery holder.
4. Close back the battery compartment lid (1a)
(fig. A).
5. Push the battery compartment into the holder
(fig. B).
Note: The holder is located on the bottom of
the product's lid.
6. Place the lid on the product (fig. B).
Replacing batteries
If the batteries no longer work you can replace
them.
Proceed as described in the section "Inserting
the batteries". Remove the old batteries from the
battery compartment before inserting the new
ones.
Switching the light on and off

1. Remove the lid from the product.
• Slide the switch (1c) to ON in order to switch
the product on.

• Slide the switch (1c) to OFF to switch the
product off.
• Slide the switch (1c) to TIMER to activate the
product's timer function.
Note: The timer function keeps the light
switched on for 6 hours and switched off for 18
hours.
2. Place the lid on the product.
Use
The product can be set up indoors.
Note: Do not store the product on sensitive
surfaces. This may cause scratching.
Storage, cleaning
When not using the product always store it clean
and dry, without batteries and at room tempe-
rature.
Simply clean with a damp cloth and then wipe
dry.
IMPORTANT! Never clean with harsh deter-
gents.
Disposal information
In the interest of protecting the
environment, do not throw your product
into the household waste once you are
finished with it, but rather take it to a
specialty disposal facility. Find out about
collection sites and their hours of operation from
your local authority.
Defective or used batteries must be recycled
pursuant to Directive 2006/66/EC and changes
to it. Return batteries and/or the product via the
collecting sites provided. Packaging materials,
such as plastic bags, must be kept away from
children. Keep the packaging materials out of
reach of children.
Environmental damage caused by
improper disposal of batteries! Batteries
may not be disposed of with household
waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and
are subject to hazardous waste treatment. The
chemical symbols of the heavy metals are as
follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb =
lead. Dispose of used batteries at a municipal
collection site.
