All seating positions in this vehicle have seat belts. All
occupants of the vehicle should properly wear their seatbelt.
The seatbelt system consists of a buckle, shoulder loop, lap
belt, and retractor.
A seatbelt warning light and chime for the
driver seat.
Crash sensors and monitoring system
with readiness indicator.
NOTE: The seat belts installed in the C250 do not have
pretensioners or an automatic locking mode.

1. Hold the latch and pull the seat belt across body. Do not
twist the webbing.

snap and feel it latch.

ADJUSTING THE SEAT BELT HEIGHT
Note: Before adjusting seat belt height, adjust the seat to the
proper position.
1. Pinch top and bottom levers together as you move the
shoulder loop to the correct height.
2. Move shoulder loop until it clicks into a locked position.
3. Gently tug on the shoulder belt to make sure it is locked.

SEAT BELT RETRACTOR LOCK-UP
The seat belt retractor locks only if there is a sudden stop or a
crash. If the retractor becomes locked up, it can be unlocked by:
1. Firmly grasp the web close to the retractor.
2. Pull web tight onto the spool, tight enough to allow web to
retract back into the retractor.
3. When released, this should unlock the retractor.

ADJUSTING THE SEAT BELT LENGTH
Position the seatbelt height adjuster so
that the seatbelt rests across the middle of your shoulder.
Failure to adjust the seatbelt correctly could reduce its
effectiveness and increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Adding too much slack to the seat belt
will reduce the seat belt's effectiveness during a crash,
and can result in injury or death to occupant.
To lengthen belt - Pull some seatbelt
webbing out of the seat belt retractor. Turn
the adjustable latch at right angle to the
webbing and pull away from the latch using
the lower webbing strap.
To shorten belt - Pull the top webbing strap
