VPS ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
To fit the VPS system from the helmet, open the chin guard and make sure the side slider is
placed towards the back of the helmet (Fig. 9B).
Insert the VPS left end into the left side guide until the grip pawl is hooked in shell housing
(Fig. 11).
Repeat the same steps on the right side.
Make sure the VPS works correctly by moving the left side slider forward (Fig. 9A) and back-
ward (Fig. 9B) so that you can hear the clicks meaning that it enters the relative positions.
If necessary, repeat the above-mentioned steps.
-
If the visor and/or VPS opening/closing mechanisms are damaged or malfunctioning,
please contact a Nolan authorised dealer.
-
Do not use the helmet if the VPS has not been assembled properly.
WARNING
-
The VPS doesn't replace the protection guaranteed by the visor. For this reason it must
always be used only when the helmet's visor is lowered.
WIND PROTECTOR
This accessory allows improved helmet performance under certain conditions of use.
The Wind Protector prevents unpleasant infiltrations of air under the chin.
See Fig. 12 for the assembly and disassembly.
WARNING!!!
The Wind Protector is easily removable. You can check the correct assembly of this acces-
sory by pulling it gently towards the inner part of the helmet with your thumb and forefinger.
If it moves, repeat the assembling operations.
REMOVABLE INNER COMFORT PADDING
(Only for versions equipped with removable inner padding)
To remove and/or reassemble the inner comfort padding, open the helmet chin guard and lift
the VPS (Fig 9A).
REMOVAL
1.1 Open the chin strap (see specific instructions), pull the front part of the left cheek pad to
the inside of the helmet and pull out the left fastening chin strap from the slot on the
cheek pad (Fig. 13). Repeat this step for the right fastening strap and cheek pad.
1.2 Release the roll-neck eyelet from the frame fixed to the outer shell (Fig. 14).
1.3 Release the fixing button located in the back of the cheek pad near the roll neck
(Fig. 15).
1.4 Pull put the lateral left flap from its seat between the inner and outer shell by pulling out
the comfort padding towards the interior of the helmet (Fig. 16). Repeat this step for the
right side flap.
1.5 Release the left rear fastening flap from the support fixed to the inner shell by slightly
deforming the shell sealing edge and slightly pulling the comfort padding in the helmet
neck-ring area towards the inside (Fig.17).
Then repeat the same steps to remove the central flap as well as the right rear flap.
1.6 Hold the left front part of the liner and pull it upwards in order to remove the liner flap from
the support fixed to the inner polystyrene shell (Fig. 18). Repeat the same steps to
remove the central and right front flap.
