Connection requirements
Electricity and voltage limiting measures must be implemented in the superior system for the supply as well
as for the fault report interface. This ensures that the contact temperatures do not reach the welding temper-
atures of the alarm contacts.
4.16.
Warning
Life-threatening danger due to electric shock
Voltage-carrying devices and exposed connection cables may cause electric shocks and
serious accidents.
Only trained and authorized electricians may work on electrical connections.

Disconnect all supply lines from mains before installation and secure them against re-

connection. Always ensure absence of voltage.
Wait for the discharge phase of 5 minutes for the electrical components. The device

should only be opened afterwards.

4.17.
Maintenance advice
The light is largely maintenance-free. However, the 'proof test' interval should be observed and the lifetime of
the flashtubes are not to be exceeded.
In an environment where extensive dirt or dust is to be expected a regular cleaning of the exterior surface of
the light emission is recommended. The hood made of polycarbonate can only be cleaned with water or rins-
ing agents.
