During this initial heating period you may
notice faint odours. These smells are not dan-
gerous and will disappear after a short time.
Ensure adequate ventilation, e.g. by opening
a window.
The appliance switches off automatically
after 10 minutes. Wait until it has com-
pletely cooled down.
Pull the mains plug out of the mains
socket and then clean the appliance once
again using a damp cloth from inside and
dry the microwave carefully.
7.3. Using accessories

Do not use the microwave without prop-
erly installing the turntable plate.
Check that the drive shaft is correctly in-
serted in the recess on the base of the in-
side of the microwave and that its wings
rest flat on the base. If necessary, turn the
shaft until it drops down into its correct
position.
Place the roller ring in the recess in the
cooking compartment and then place
the glass turntable centrally on the drive
shaft (see Fig. above) so that the webs of
the turntable plate lie between the wings
of the drive shaft.

In grill mode, you can use the grill rack in two
positions.
If you place the grill rack with the long feet
on the turntable plate, the food will brown
more quickly as it is closer to the heating ele-
ment of the grill.
If you place the grill rack with the short feet
on the turntable plate, the food will brown
more slowly as it is further away from the
heating element of the grill.
7.5. Sett ing the time
When the microwave is used for the first time
or the power supply is interrupted, the dis-
play shows : and the time must be set.
