Indicators during alarm recording
The AL indicator flashes in the display window.
The count of the alarm recording flashes on the
monitor screen.
The alarm recording can be counted up to 999.
When the alarm function has worked 1000 times, the
count number returns to 000.

To Reset the Alarm Count

Turn on the power of the equipment to be used.

Press MENU and MENU V until "8" of the MAIN
MENU flashes on the monitor screen.

Press MENU B.
The ALARM DATA menu appears.

Press MENU RESET.

Press SEARCH/AUDIO ON to return to the
normal display.
The count on the screen are reset to 000.

Turn on the power of the equipment to be used.

Press SEARCH/AUDIO ON in stop mode until the
alarm search indicator flashes in the display
window and on the screen.
In the display window

Press MENU + or – to set the alarm search number
(00 to 99).

Press FF M or REW m.
The cassette stops at the portion where the alarm
function worked and the still picture playback is
displayed.
Press STOP x, PLAY B, FF M or REW m to
release alarm search mode.
Notes
• If the tape is reached the end during alarm searching, the
tape is rewound and the VCR enters the stop mode at the
beginning of the tape.
• To search for the 100th alarm, rewind the tape to the
beginning, enter 00 and press FF M.
• You can use the alarm search only when the alarm speed is
set to SP 2H (when using T-120 or T-160 tape in SP
recording mode), EP 6H (when using T-120 tape in EP
recording mode), or EP 8H (when using T-160 tape in EP
recording mode) and the recorded section is longer than 20
seconds.
