RS-485 Commands
GROUP SET (6CH)
Divides into groups (puts group numbers). In response
to this command, the VCR returns the group number
by 2 bytes.
Example: Setting to the group 5

GROUP CHECK (6DH)
Returns the group number.
Example: When the group number is 2

GROUP CLEAR (6EH)
Clears the group number. In response to this
command, the VCR returns the group number by 2
bytes.

SET ON (7CH)
Turns on the VCR no matter if it is turned on or off.

RS-485 Return Commands
When the RS-485 connector is used and you operate
on the VCR, the VCR automatically returns a status
information of 2 bytes.

BE/BF
First byte: Header (BEH or BFH)
Second byte: Status information
When first byte is BFH
Bit 0, 1, 2, 3, 4: displays what mode the VCR is in.
0,0,0,0,0: no change
1,0,0,0,0: the VCR is turned on without a tape.
0,1,0,0,0: the VCR is turned off without a tape.
1,1,0,0,0: the VCR is turned on with a tape inserted.
0,0,1,0,0: the VCR is turned off with a tape inserted.
1,0,1,0,0: the VCR is in timer recording standby mode.
0,1,1,0,0: the VCR is playing back still picture.
1,1,1,0,0: the VCR is in recording pause mode.
0,0,0,1,0: the VCR is playing back a tape.
1,0,0,1,0: the VCR is recording.
0,1,0,1,0: the VCR is playing back a tape in reverse
direction.
1,1,0,1,0: the VCR is fast-forwarding during playback
(CUE).
0,0,1,1,0: the VCR is rewinding during playback
(REVIEW).
1,0,1,1,0: the VCR is fast-forwarding a tape.
0,1,1,1 0: the VCR is rewinding a tape.
1,1,1,1,0: the VCR is playing back frame by frame.
0,0,0,0,1: the VCR is playing back frame by frame in
reverse direction.
Bit 5, 6: displays when the VCR starts or ends the
alarm recording.
0,0: the VCR is in normal mode.
0,1: the VCR starts the alarm recording.
1,0: the VCR ends the alarm recording.
Bit 7: indicates warning.
1: the VCR has a mechanical problem.
0: normal
