Operation
Using the Laser
The beam line of the laser will ensure that cuts are straight. You can cut either
along the projected line or point the laser beam at a fixed point on the work
piece and then cut.
Before using the laser, you must remove the insulating pad between the
batteries.
1. Remove the battery compartment lid (1) from the battery compartment (29).
2. Remove the insulating pad.
3. Put the battery compartment lid back on the battery compartment.
4. To switch the laser (13) on, push the On/Off switch for the laser (14).
5. To switch the laser off, push the On/Off switch for the laser again.
Replacing the Batteries
The laser is powered by 2 LR44 button cells. If the laser stops working, the
batteries must be replaced.
1. Remove the battery compartment lid (1) from the battery compartment (29).
2. Remove the old button cells (24).
3. Now insert the new button cells. Make sure the polarity is correct.
4. Put the battery compartment lid back on the battery compartment.
Overload Protection
The saw is equipped with overload protection. The overload indicator (2)
indicates the operational state for the saw.
If the overload indicator flashes, the saw is approaching its load limit and the
feed motion must be reduced.
If the overload indicator is continually illuminated, the saw is being overloaded
or is jammed and will switch off.
In this case, switch the saw off and let it cool off before using it again.
