Dust Extraction
Attention: Harmful/toxic dust can be produced when working on e.g. paint
coats containing lead and some types of wood. They pose a danger both for
the user as well as nearby persons.
If you cut materials that could produce hazardous dust, always use a dust
extractor. This also applies, among other things, to hard woods, MDF
panels and ceramics.
Do not use a dust extraction device when cutting metal. Metal dust may be
explosive and should not be stirred up into the air.
Protect yourself by wearing suitable personal protective equipment and
keep other persons away from the work area.
Make sure that the vacuum cleaner is suitable for use with the power tool.
Notice: Using a vacuum cleaner that is not suitable for use in combination with
the power tool could damage the vacuum cleaner.
Dust extraction is particularly reasonable when performing multiple consecu-
tive cuts. Thus, breaks for cleaning the saw and the work area are not needed
as frequently.
Connecting a dust extractor makes it possible to vacuum dust and chips off of
the work piece. This will protect both the saw and your own health. This will
also keep your work area clean and safe.
Most dry vacuum cleaners designed for household use are suitable for dust
extraction.
1. Insert the suction hose 19 in the suction hose adapter (20). Make sure that
the white mark on the hose opening corresponds to the recess of the
suction hose adapter.
2. Turn the suction hose anticlockwise until it is secure.
3. Insert the suction hose adapter in the dust exhaust port (27) and gently turn
it anticlockwise.
4. Connect a suitable dust extraction device (e.g. vacuum cleaner).
5. Make sure that the adapter lid (21) is attached to the suction hose adapter.
Preparation
Before each use check the proper function of all installation fixtures of the
plunge saw and only use the plunge saw if
everything works properly.
Attach the work piece in such way that it
cannot move or bend during work. Line the
