INSTRUCTIONS ON ASSEMBLY
Please mount the door frame high bar carefully into place. We must draw your atten-
tion to the fact that the black rubber ends can potentially leave black marks on the
door frame. We do not assume any liability for damages the installation could cause
to the door frame! To mount the high bar to the frame, turn the high bar between the
frame ends in such a manner, that it is clamped into place. To adjust the width, please
fix the both ends of the door bars and rotate the middle tube. Only in this way is a
uniform width adjustment ensured on both sides and a fine adjustment possible. The
rubber ends will prevent the door frame high bar from sliding down. Make sure that
the high bar is in a perfect horizontal position. For permanent installation, you should
mount the door frame high bar into the frame using the enclosed mounting devices.
To do so, please proceed as follows:
Mount the black rubber hats to the right and left hand side of the door frame. Clamp
the high bar between the two ends of the door frame and use the plastic hat to stabi-
lize the bar (Figure 1).
You can mount the high bar to the top of the door frame (Figure 2) to perform pull ups,
or in the bottom area of the door frame (Figure 3) to do sit ups.
If you do opt to install the door frame high bar into the lower positon, please keep in
mind that you will have to leave enough of a clearance between the bar and the floor
for your fit to be able to reach beneath the bar (Figure 4).
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
WARM UP
Warm up before each training session. Walking or running on the spot and light stret-
ching exercises are excellent for warming up.
SUGGESTED EXERCISES
1. Belly lifts in free hang
Hang with the palms at shoulder-width on the doorway high bar (Ristgriff – refers
to an upper handle with your palms facing away from your face and upwards, so
that the thumbs point inwards). Press the shoulders downwards. Stretch the legs
forwards and build up belly tension (The tips of your toes should thereby only have
slight contact with the ground). (Image 5A) Pull up both knees to your chest, this
should thereby be accompanied by a rolling-in of the pelvis (Image 5B), then return
to position A). Perform the movement slowly and without excessive swing. 5 - 10
repetitions, 4 sets.
Enhancement: Pull up the tips of your toes, up to the height of the high bar. (Image 5C)
Easier: while in position A) more contact with the ground. Slowly increase the degree
of difficulty of the repetitions.
2. Chin-ups, using the Ristgriff (upper handle)
Use the Ristgriff (upper handle) to grasp and hang on to the high bar, with the palms
at more than shoulder-width. Pull the shoulders away from the ears. Bend legs back-
wards, to hold lower legs up as well as cross them. (Image 6A) Use your arms to pull
up your body weight, until the chin is above the height of the high bar. The elbows
should thereby point downwards and the shoulders should be kept away from the
neck. Keep your head straight (Image 6B). Slowly lower yourself back to position A).
So many repetitions as possible, 2 sets (you should thereby cross legs the other way
round).
3. Chin-ups, using the Kammgriff (lower handle)
Use the Kammgriff (refers to a lower handle with your palms turned towards your
face, so that the thumbs point outwards) to grasp and hang on to the high bar, with
the palms at shoulder-width. Pull the shoulders away from the ears. Bend legs back-
wards, to hold lower legs up as well as cross them. (Image 7A) Use your arms to pull
up your body weight, until the chin is above the height of the high bar. The arms should
thereby be kept close to your body and the elbows should thereby point downwards.
Keep your head straight and deeply press in the shoulders (Image 7B). Slowly lower
yourself back to position A). So many repetitions as possible, 2 sets.
DISMANTLING
The door frame high bar can be removed from the door frame in just a few turns. It is
easy to store because it is so compact. Remove the high bar from the door frame with
care to prevent scratches to the door frame.
