15 Troubleshooting
Problem
Cell voltage high
Cell voltage low
Temperature problem charging
Temperature problem discharging
Short circuit
Overcurrent
Battery over voltage
Battery voltage low
Battery fault
Possible cause
One or more cells with voltage above
the permitted limit.
One or more cells with voltage below
the permitted limit.
Internal battery temperature outside
permissible limits.
Internal battery temperature outside
permissible limits.
Very high current (greater than 260 A).
Consumer failure.
Very high current (greater than 180 A).
A consumer has been activated that
draws power exceeding the limit of
the battery.
Battery terminal voltage above 16 V.
Faulty charger or wrong type of charg-
er used.
Battery terminal voltage below 10.5 V.
Internal failure.
Suggested remedy
Discharge the battery by 3 Ah.
The alarm is deactivated when
the cell voltage returns to normal
operating levels.
Connect a battery charger and
turn on the battery by pressing
and holding the On/Off switch
for 1 second. If the voltage of
one or more cells is below the
safety limit, the battery will re-
main on for about 10 seconds
in order to allow the cells to be
charged and then reset.
Disconnect the charger for a few
minutes. The alarm is deactivat-
ed if the temperature returns to
normal operating levels.
Avoid discharging the battery for
a few minutes. The alarm is deac-
tivated if the temperature returns
to normal operating levels.
Check that all connected con-
sumers are working properly.
The alarm is deactivated after
approximately 5 seconds. If it
should reactivate (e.g. due to
a short circuit at the poles), the
alarm remains active until the
On/Off switch is pressed.
Disconnect the consumer. The
alarm is deactivated after ap-
proximately 5 seconds.
Disconnect the charger. The
alarm is automatically deactivat-
ed when the voltage drops be-
low 15.6 V.
The voltage at the terminals is
switched off for a few minutes,
and then automatically restored
for a few seconds. The purpose
of this function is to protect the
battery from further discharge by
keeping it switched off for a few
minutes, and at the same time
allowing the battery charger to
detect it.

agent.
