Secure Ethernet Adapter
Secure ethernet
1.
adapter
1.1. General Information
If Behnke IP intercom stations are used out-
doors and connected to the network, there is a
risk of sabotage on the network line routed to
the outside (intranet access). To effectively pre-
vent this, the Secure Ethernet Adapter is looped
into the network line in the secured area.
In case of sabotage, this switches off the volt-
age (PoE) as well as connections of the network
line to the end device. In addition to this func-
tion, the Secure Ethernet Adapter (if connected)
also disconnects the door opener circuit.
The Secure Ethernet Adapter is designed for
operation with Behnke SIP intercom stations.

Sabotage logic
After switching on the supply voltage or after a
power failure, the device checks the sabotage
loop and switches to the normal operating
mode if it is error-free. Thus, the IP end device
is switched on independently after a power
failure. The "Reset" button is used for resetting
after a sabotage triggering. Pressing the "Reset"
button during normal operation disconnects
all interfaces as long as the button remains
pressed. When the button is released, the inter-
faces are switched on again. Thus, a hardware
reset of the end device is possible.
