GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
Read and understand this manual before operat-
ing the product. Failure to follow the instructions
provided regarding the product, may result in
accident, serious personal injury and damage to
property. You can help prevent accidents by be-
ing familiar with your product's controls and by
observing safety operating procedures and safe-
ty signs related to it. If this product is to be used
by any other person than yourself, please pass on
this manual as well. Local laws may restrict the
minimum age of the operator.
If you encounter a situation where you are uncer-
tain how to proceed you should ask an expert.
Avoid all usage which you consider to be beyond
your capability - always use common sense.
WORKING AREA HAZARDS
Thoroughly inspect the whole work area and re-
move anything that could be a hazardous source
to you or cause damage to the product. Cluttered
areas and benches increase the chances of an ac-
cident. Keep the product away from flammable
materials. Never use the product near or towards
hazardous materials, e.g. accumulation of inflam-
mable or explosive products and any other object
that could be dangerous to the product itself as
well as the operator, bystanders, animals or prop-
erty.
Always keep away bystanders and animals that
could be hurt, as well as items that could be dam-
aged, while operating the product. Never use the
product or any attachments towards any body
parts, animals, people or property. Bear in mind
that the operator is responsible for accidents and/
or damage occurred to other people, animals or
their property.
Do not use the product in environments with ex-
cessive moisture, dust, dirt, corrosive or explosive
vapors.
Do not overreach. Take on a firm and well-bal-
anced position. Where possible, avoid working on
wet, slippery ground or in any case on uneven or
steep ground that does not guarantee stability
for the operator. Use the product always under
good lighting conditions such as daylight or ade-
quate artificial light.
Try not to cause any noise disturbance, by only
using this product at reasonable times of the day.
SAFE OPERATION
Do not use the product while you are tired or un-
der the influence of drugs, alcohol or any medica-
tion that may affect your ability to operate it.
Before operating the product always perform a
visual check for any possible problems. All of the
operational levers of the product must move from
one position to the other easily and must not need
forcing. The handgrips and protection devices
must be clean and dry as well as securely fastened
to the product.

Do not force the product beyond its rated capa-
bilities and use it only for the purpose it was de-
signed.
Do not mount equipment or accessories on the
product not foreseen or approved by the manu-
facturer. Never attempt to modify the product.
Non-authorized modifications or accessories can
result in serious personal injury or the death of
the operator or others. Make sure that you always
use the correct tool for each job in order to avoid
product failure or injury. Avoid overloading the
product.
If something breaks or an accident occurs while
working, deactivate the product immediately
and move it away to prevent further damage. In
case foreign body has entered the product, stop it
immediately, inspect it for any damage and make
repairs before starting it again.
Consult your authorized dealer for disassembly
and service, not covered in this manual.
Remove any keys and wrenches from the product
before and during operating.
Make sure that you stop the product and unplug it
from its power source:
When mounting or removing accessories and

tools.
Whenever you leave the product unattended.

During cleaning or maintenance.
f
During repositioning, transportation or storage of
f
the product.
Do not inhale dust, particles, fumes, exhaust gas-
es or fuel fumes produced during operation or re-
fuelling of the product, where present.
The noise levels shown in this manual are the max-
imum levels for use of the product. Insufficient
maintenance has a significant impact on vibration
and noise emissions. Consequently, it is neces-
sary to take preventive steps to eliminate possi-
ble damage due to high levels of noise and stress
from vibration. Contact your doctor if you expe-
rience symptoms of overexposure to vibration.
Such symptoms include numbness, loss of feeling,
tingling, pricking, pain, loss of strength, changes
in skin color or condition. Maintain the product
well, wear ear protection devices, anti-vibration
gloves and take breaks while working.
This product may produce an electromagnetic
field during its operation. To remove the risk of
this product interfering with active or passive
medical implants, persons with medical implants
have to consult their physician and the medical
implant manufacturer, before operating this
product.
REMAINING HAZARDS
The product was built using modern technology
and in accordance with recognized safety rules.
Even when all safety measures are in place, some
remaining hazards, which are not yet evident, may
be present. The operator should use common
sense and take necessary precautions to avoid
risk due to remaining hazards. Such risks may may
include but are not limited to: impairment of hear-
ing, risk of injury due to flying objects or particles
and physical harm due to prolonged use.
