Glides/Castors
A variety of glides/castors are available, for the sake
of your safety and for use on different types of flooring
in accordance with safety regulations:
– hard glides/castors for textile flooring (standard),
– soft glides/castors for all non-textile flooring,
– for 4-star aluminium base and wooden frame
felt glides for non-textile floors and plastic glides
for textile floors.
Changing glides/castors – this might be necessary,
for instance, after moving office, or after the installation
of a new floor covering:
1) 5-star-base swivel chair (on castors): Simply pull out
the castors and push new ones in.
2) 4-star aluminium base swivel chair (with felt glides/
plastic glides): Simply pull out the glides and push new
ones in.
3) Version with 4-star wooden frame: Carefully lever off
the glides using a flat tool. Clip on new glides by hand.
Cleaning the felt glides: To avoid damage to the floor
covering, it is recommended to clean the felt glides
regularly and remove coarse dirt particles (e.g. small
stones).
Plastic parts
Soapy water is suitable for cleaning. Please do not use
any aggressive cleaning materials.
Upholstery
Clean textiles on a regular basis. Minor stains can be
vacuumed or removed using compressed air or luke-
warm water and a damp cloth. Only use mild detergent
or the cleaning foam offered by Sedus.
Leather
Leather is a natural product. Colour shading gives the
material its unmistakable touch. Rub off light soiling
with a soft woollen cloth. Heavier soiling should only be
treated with cleaners designed for aniline dyed leather.
Do not expose semi-aniline leather to direct sunshine.
Seat height adjustment
A
We recommend cleaning the piston rod regularly with
a cloth. Other work on the gas spring, e.g. replacement,
may only be carried out by trained staff.
