CAUTION!
Residual risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in
accordance with the instructions, certain
residual risks cannot be eliminated. The
following hazards may arise in connection
with the equipment's construction and
layout:
1. Lung damage if no suitable protective dust
mask is used.
2. Damage to hearing if no suitable ear
protection is applied.
3. Health damage caused by hand-arm
vibrations if the equipment is used over a
longer period or is not properly guided and
maintained.
Limit the operating time.
All stages of the operating cycle must be
considered (for example, times in which the
electric tools are switched off and times in which
the tool is switched on but operates without load).
5. Before starting the equipment
Warning!
Always pull out the battery before making
adjustments to the equipment.
All covers and safety devices must be properly
fi tted before the equipment is switched on.
5.1 Fitting the dust chute (Fig. 2/Item 11)
Caution! For health and safety reasons it is
imperative that you use a vacuum or a dust
collector.
Connect your cordless tool to a domestic
vacuum cleaner or a dust collector using the
dust chute (11). This will ensure optimum dust
extraction from the workpiece. The benefits
are that you will protect both the equipment
and your own health. Your work area will also
be cleaner and safer.
Dust created when working may be
dangerous. Refer to the section entitled
"Safety instructions".
The vacuum cleaner or dust collector you use
for the dust extraction must be suitable for
the material you are machining. Use a special
vacuum cleaner if you are handling harmful
materials.

Cordless router with fi xed base (Fig. 2/Item
11)
Secure the dust chute (11) to the fixed base
(20) using the countersunk head screw (12).
The dust chute (11) can be connected to a
vacuum cleaner with a suction hose (not sup-
plied).
The internal diameter of the dust chute is
1.42". Now fit a suction hose of matching size
to the dust chute.
5.2 Fitting the edge guide (Fig. 4/ Item 19)
Undo the edge guide lock knob (10).
Insert the edge guide (19) under the edge
guide lock knob (10) as shown in Fig. 4 and
retighten the edge guide lock knob (10).
Set the edge guide (19) to the required
dimension and secure it in place with the
wing nut (19.1).
5.3 Fitting the compass point (Fig. 5/Item 18)
You can cut circular areas using the compass
point (18).
To do so, undo the wing nut (19.1) and
remove the front section of the edge guide
(19).
Install the compass point (18) on the edge
guide (19) as shown in Fig. 5 using the wing
nut and carriage bolt removed previously.
Now fit the edge guide (19) together with the
compass point (18) on the fixed base, secure
it in place with the edge guide lock knob (10).
The procedure for fitting is the same as
described in section 5.2 except that the edge
guide (19) must be turned 180° so that the
compass point (18) points downwards (Fig.
5).
Set the required radius between the compass
point (18) and the router bit.
Position the compass point (18) in the center
of the circle you wish to cut.
5.4 Fitting and using the template guide (Fig.
6-9/Item 14)
Remove the four countersunk head screws
(23) from the bottom of the fixed base and
take off the cover (24) (Fig. 6).
Insert the template guide (14) as shown in
Fig. 7.
Reinstall the cover (24) using the four
countersunk head screws (23).
The template guide (14) will be guided along
the template (14.2) by the guide ring (14.1).
