Maintenance
The voltage being regulated by the charger, the battery will only accept the current that it can absorb depending on its condition and state
of charge. The current will be initially higher and then gradually decrease. When the registered current is less than 0.6 amps, the battery Is
fully charged. SWITCH OFF charger at this time, then disconnect the alligator clamps.
ALWAYS START by disconnecting the negative clamp.
Note: In the case of a dead battery, recharging can take up to 8 hours.
NEVER leave the charger unattended. If charging is not stopped when the battery is fully charged, overcharging will produce battery sulfa-
tion, reducing its power and considerably reducing the possible lifespan
WARNING :
• The battery contains sulfuric acid. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Wear rubber gloves and goggles or a visor when
handling, fi lling or recharging. If electrolyte is splashed into the eyes or on the skin, cleanse with plenty of plain water and call a
doctor immediately.
• During charging the battery produces hydrogen and oxygen gas. Keep all sources of ignition away. When checking electrolyte
level, use flashlight or permanent light for illumination. Do not light or turn off the light source near the battery. Do not smoke or
cause sparks.
CAUTION :
• Always disconnect the battery before recharging it.
• Recharge the battery only in a well-ventilated area.
• Never place metal tools, such as wrenches or screwdrivers, on top of the battery.
• Never disconnect a battery that is in use. First close all switches.
DESCALING THE COIL
Periodically check the possible formation of scaling in the water circuit. (Plumbing, coil and hose)
If necessary, proceed as follows:
1. USE a container with a capacity of at least 5 gallons (20 liters). POUR in a solution of water with special
anti-scaling acid, like MS-DETAR6K. MIX according to the proportions recommended by the manufacturer.
2. INSTALL a 5 feet long hose with ½ inch (internal diameter) (1.5 m long and 13 mm internal diameter) at the
water inlet of the pump; place the free end of the hose in the 5 gallons container of properly mixed
anti-scaling solution. DISCONNECT the high-pressure hose from the spray gun inlet and place the open end of the hose as
return into the same descaling solution container.
3. CLOSE the soap injector adjustment valve.
4. START the engine. DO NOT OPERATE THE BURNER. Squeeze the spray gun trigger. Leave the solution
circulate through the system for 1 (one) hour or until the scale deposits are dissolved.
IN extreme cases, it may be necessary to change the solution during treatment and repeat procedure.
This necessary because the scaling plaque neutralizes the anti-scaling acid.
5. When the operation is completed:
- CLEAN the fi lter at the water inlet of the pump.
- CONNECT a water supply hose to the water inlet of the pump to rinse.
- START the engine and squeeze spray gun trigger.
- KEEP equipment running until the water flows out evenly and is clear.
- RELEASE the gun trigger and stop the engine.
IMPORTANT :
To prevent possible damage, avoid splashing or spilling the solution on the device or its components during the descaling operation.
WARNING: To prevent injury
• Always wear long clothing, gloves and safety glasses when descaling the heating coil.
