4.6- Guide bar
The guide bar (2) is subjected to important wear particularly at its tip and lower part.
To avoid one-sided wear or uneven wear of the guide bar, turn it at every chain sharpening or change.
4.7- Sprocket
The sprocket (d) is also subjected to rapid wear.
If deep wear marks appear on the teeth, replace the drive gear sprocket.
A worn out sprocket will shorten the lifespan of the chain.
The sprocket should be changed by a specialist or authorized service centre, to avoid any hazard.
4.8- Chain guard
Upon completion of your task, place the chain guard on the chain and guide chain.
Place chain guard whenever transporting the chainsaw from one location to another.
4.9- Filling the oil tank
Clean the oil filler cap (4) and its circumference before
opening it, so as to avoid impurities getting inside the tank.
Fill in the tank (through the opening (g)).
Screw the oil tank cap (4) and wipe away any oil spills.
In order to lubricate the saw chain sufficiently, there must be
enough saw chain oil in the tank at all times. The oil level
can be checked in the viewing glass (Fig.6). The oil level
may not be below "MIN".
Attention: the chainsaw is delivered without oil. Refill before use or operation.
Check the oil level prior to each use and, if required, refill with chain saw oil.
During operation, regularly check the oil level through the oil level window (14).
4.10- Saw chain lubrication
To avoid premature wear of the tool, the chain and the guide bar must be lubricated homogeneously
throughout the operation.
The lubrication is automatic.
Never use the chainsaw if the chain is not lubricated. If the chain is dry, the entire cutting device may
become damaged.
It is therefore essential to check both the lubrication of the chain and the oil level before each use.
Never use the chainsaw when the oil level is below the level marked "Min."
- Minimum - If the oil level reaches the "min" line on the bottom edge of the gauge, add oil.
- Maximum - Add oil until the tank is filled.
4.11- Checking the automatic lubrication
Before starting operation, check the automatic lubrication of the chain and the oil level.
Switch on the chainsaw and place it on top of a clear colored surface.
Never leave the machine hit the ground.
For security reasons, keep it to about 20cm from the ground.
If an oil stain appears and grows on the ground, it means that the chain lubricating system is working
properly.
If no oil stain appears, try cleaning the lubrication hole and the anchor hole of the chain adjusting pin.
Remove all dust.
If the problem is not solved, contact the authorized service centre.
