▪ If Amy 1 sun protect Modes io is used with air-conditioning:
◦ Amy 1 sun protect Modes io helps to delay the use of air-conditioning as it maintains a comfortable indoor
temperature.
◦ If air-conditioning is kept as back up, use Amy 1 sun protect Modes io setting coherent with the air conditioning
temperature activation. (E.g.: Programm Amy 1 sun protect Modes io temperature at 25°C and the air-conditioning
temperature above 25°C, like 26°C.)
CAUTION
Be careful in case of wind!
Automation provided by TaHoma and Amy 1 sun protect Modes io allows the automatic use of a motorised product
when the temperature of the room equals a certain threshold, without consideration of the wind.
To maximize the protection of the motorised product from the wind and limit the risk of breaking, use a wind sensor
paired with the motorised product (sold separately).
In any case, a wind sensor does not protect against sudden gusts of wind. In the event of such weather risks,
deactivate the embedded temperature sensor (see below).
CAUTION
There is a risk with an external screen when there is sunshine and a temperature difference on the glass.
Due to the partial closure of the external screen by Amy automation, the window is partly in the sun and partly
covered. In rare case of combination of glass material, coating and sun irradiance, a thermal stress can create a risk
of breakage.
CAUTION
There is a risk if Amy 1 sun protect Modes io controls a home access point.
If Amy automation activates when the occupant is outside, there is a possibility that he could be locked out. This issue
concerns all automated systems. To avoid this risk, do not install this product on an access point to the home, or keep
an access point without an automated system.
3.5.2.Allow/Inhibit orders from Amy automation
By default, this function is deactivated on Amy 1 sun protect Modes io: orders from Amy automation are inhibited.
NOTICE
To use the selector to allow or inhibit orders from Amy automation, the front panel buttons and switch must be
activated: the product must be switched on (refer to Switching on Amy 1 sun protect Modes io).
To activate or deactivate this function, slide the selector to the desired mode:
▪ Selector on the right (sun protect logo side): local orders from Amy
automation are activated.
◦ If the embedded temperature sensor in Amy 1 sun protect Modes io detects
important temperature raises, it automatically places the paired motorised
products in the sun protection position. This position depends on the
product type and the selected control mode (1, 2, 3, or 4) on Amy 1 sun
protect Modes io.
▪ Selector on the left: local orders from Amy automation are deactivated.
◦ The paired motorised products do not react to temperature changes.
The feedback LED lights up green when the selector is switched into the other mode.
The selected mode remains active until the selector is switched into the other mode.
NOTICE
When deactivating Amy automation?
• Even if it has been developed to avoid unwanted activations, it is better to deactivate Amy 1 sun protect Modes io
automation in winter period or whenever it is not being used.
