POSSIBLE CAUSE
Fuel level is low or depleted.
Low engine oil level stopped generator.
Dirty air filter.
Contaminated fuel source.
Defective low oil level switch.
Air filter restricted.
The choke lever is in the wrong position.
Fuel system malfunction, ignition malfunction,
valves stuck, etc.
Fuel level is low or depleted.
Stale gasoline, generator stored without
treating or draining gasoline, or refueled with
bad gasoline.
Dirty air filter.
Low engine oil level stopped generator.
Spark plug wet with fuel (flooded engine).
Spark plug faulty, fouled, or improperly
gapped.
The fuel selector switch is in the FUEL OFF
position.
CO sensor removed or modified.
CO sensor activated or system fault occurred. Relocate generator /
Dirty air filter.
Generator overloaded.
Faulty power tool or appliance.
Fuel system malfunction, ignition malfunction,
valves stuck, etc.
AC circuit breaker/s tripped.
Faulty power tool or appliance.
Faulty generator.
CORRECTION
Add gasoline, connect natural gas hose, or
connect propane cylinder.
Fill oil to proper level and be sure the
generator is on a flat, level surface.
Clean the air filter.
Drain gasoline and refill the fuel tank, replace
the propane cylinder, or have a professional
clean the natural gas line.

Move the choke lever to the correct position.

Add gasoline, connect natural gas hose, or
connect propane cylinder.
Drain the gasoline tank. Refuel with fresh
gasoline.
Clean the air filter.
Fill oil to proper level and ensure the
generator is on a flat, level surface.
Wait five minutes. Turn the fuel selector
switch to the FUEL OFF position. Pull recoil
handle rapidly several times. If the generator
does not start, remove spark plug and dry.
Gap or replace the spark plug. Reinstall.
Turn the fuel selector switch to the
appropriate position.
Return to original configuration.
