RADIO

Note that recording
is done on only one side of the tape in deck

1.
Use Type I (normal)
tapes only.
1 Insert the tape to be recorded on into deck 1.
Insert the tape with the side to be recorded
on facing toward
you.

2 Press one of the FUNCTION
buttons
and prepare
the source
to be recorded.
To record from the CD,
press the CD button
and load the
disc.
If two or three
CDs are loaded,
start play of the CD to be
recorded
and stop play so that this CD is selected.
To record from the radio,
press the TUNER/BAND
button
and tune in to a station.
3 Press
the
button
to start recording.
The -
button
is pressed
simultaneously.
When the selected
source is CD, playback
and recording
start
simultaneously.
When the tape reaches
its end, recording
stops.
When
the selected
source
is CD, the CD enters
the playback
pause mode.

If squealing
or beating
sounds
occur
when
recording
an AM
broadcast,
press
the TUNER
MODE/OSC
button,
so as to
eliminate
the noise.
Each time the button
is pressed,
the indicator
on the display
is
turned
on and off.
The MODE button on the remote
control
is also available.

To erase recording

Insert the tape to be erased
into deck 1.

Press the TAPE button.

Press the
button to start the erasure.
To record from an external source
You can record the sound from an external
equipment
connected
to the AUX/VIDEO
jacks.

Insert the tape to be recorded
on into deck 1.

Press the AUX button.

Press the
button to start recording.

Start play of the connected
equipment.
Sound adjustment
during recording
The output volume and tone of the speakers
or headphones
may
be freely varied without
affecting
the level of the recording.
To
stop recording,
press the •/~
button for the deck 1.
To pause recording,
press the II
button
for the deck
1. To
resume
recording,
press again.
