ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
(--EQ
Press the VOLUME button. Press the upper part of the button
(UP) to increase the volume and the lower part (DOWN) to
decrease it.
When using the remote
control,
press the VOL ~/V
button.
The volume
level is shown on the display for 4 seconds.
It can be
set from O (minimum)
to 29.
The volume
remains
memorized
even after the power is turned
off. However,
if the power is turned
off when the volume
is set to
more than 21, it is automatically
set to 21 the next time the power
is turned
on.
ENHANCING THE BASS SOUND
The T-BASS
system
enhances
the realism
of low-frequency
sound.
Press the T-BASS button.
EQ (EQUALIZER)
Press the ROCK/POP/JAZZ button.
Press the
A
mark on the button pointing
at the desired
EQ mode;
ROCK,
POP or JAZZ.
The corresponding
indicator
lights in red.
ROCK:
Powerful
sound emphasizing
treble and bass
POP: More presence
in the vocals and midrange
JAZZ:
Accented
lower frequencies
for jazz-type
music
To cancel
the selected
mode,
repeat
the above
so that the
indicator
goes off.
When using the remote control
Press the EC) button
repeatedly
until the desired
EQ mode
is
selected.
The EQ mode changes
to ROCK, POP, JAZZ or no equalization
cyclically.
QSURROUND
SYSTEM
The QSURROUND
system
built
into this unit uses only two
speakers at the left and right to create an atmosphere
that sounds
as if you are surrounded
by two front speakers
and two rear
speakers.
Press the QSURROUND button.
To cancel,
press the button again.

The QSURROUND
system does not work in monaural
mode.
To cancel,
press the button again.
m
Low frequency
sound may be distorted
when the T-BASS system
is used for a disc or tape in which Iowfrequency
sound is originally
emphasized.
In this case, cancel the T-BASS
system.
