grass within a few hours. Additionally, a dull blade requires more power. Replace any blades that are bent, cracked,
or broken.
Never attempt to straighten a bent blade by heating, or weld a cracked or broken blade as the blade may break and
cause serious injury. Replace worn or damaged blades.
Never work with blades while the start key is in the ignition switch. Turn the start key to "OFF" position, remove
the batteries from the product. Support the mower with certified jack stands when working beneath it. Wear gloves
when handling blades. Always check for blade damage if mower strikes a rock, branch or other foreign objects!
•
The blade sail (curved part) must be pointing upward toward the inside of the deck to ensure proper cutting.
•
Rotate blades after installation to prevent blade tips from touching each other or the sides of the mower.
•
Ensure correct torque on the bolt to prevent potential blade loss, which may result in serious injury.
•
Mower blades are sharp and capable of cutting. Always wear gloves and exercise extra caution during servicing.
10.7.2 REMOVE THE BLADES
Mower blades are sharp. Always wear gloves when handling or working near mower blades.
1. Park the mower on a flat level surface, set the parking brake. Shut off the mower, remove the key and remove the
batteries from the product.
2. Raise the height of the cutting deck to its highest position to allow access to blades.
Note: If necessary, lift the mower using a certified lift, jack, and jack stands, or remove the cutting deck to reach
the blades. Ensure that the jack stands prevent product from moving. Use only certified jack stands in pairs and
adhere to the manufacturer's instructions.
If raising the mower to access the blades, make sure the mower is properly secured and the parking brake is
set before proceeding. Failure to properly secure the mower could cause it to fall, resulting in death or serious
personal injury.
3. Place a block of wood between the blade and the deck to prevent it from spinning while you work.
4. Loosen the blade nut by turning it counterclockwise (as viewed from bottom of mower) using a 24 mm wrench or
socket (not provided).
5. Remove the blade bolt, spacer, blade, and blade support.
