Access to an appropriate power source
Check the local power source. This refrigerator requires a 115
V, 60 Hz power supply.
Make sure that:
The power outlet is suitable for a 3-prong grounded
plug. The third prong of the power cord plug grounds
the refrigerator to reduce the risk of electric shock.
Do not modify the power plug.
NO other appliance should be plugged into the same
outlet as the refrigerator. This could overload the cir-
cuit and cause a fire.
DO NOT use an extension cord. If the refrigerator is
too far from a power outlet, move it or ask an electri-
cian to install a grounded outlet closer to it.
The outlet must not be able to be switched off by
means of a switch or cord.
Leveling the refrigerator
Leveling the refrigerator is important. If the refrigerator is not levelled, the doors may not close or be airtight, which could cause re-
frigeration, frost or moisture problems.
To level the refrigerator, it is necessary to turn the leveling
legs clockwise to raise it, or counterclockwise to lower it.
Note: The legs can be adjusted more easily if another person
pushes the top of the refrigerator to tilt it slightly.
