– Do not use the cavity for storage purposes . Do not leave paper products, cooking utensils, or food in the
cavity when not in use .
– Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags before placing the bags in the microwave .
– If materials inside the microwave should ignite, keep the oven door closed, turn the oven off, and
disconnect the power supply cord (or shut off the power at the fuse or circuit breaker panel) .
– Use this microwave only for its intended purpose, as described in this manual . This type of oven is
specifically designed to heat, cook, or dry food . It is not designed for industrial or laboratory use .
– Products such as whole eggs and sealed containers (closed glass jars) are able to explode and should not
be heated in this microwave . See "Care, Cleaning, and Usage Recommendations" on page 17 .
– Do not heat oil or fat for deep-frying . It is difficult to control the temperature of oil in microwave ovens .
– Pierce foods with heavy skins such as potatoes, whole squash, apples, and chestnuts before cooking .
– When cleaning the door-to-oven contact surfaces, use only mild, non-abrasive soaps or detergents
applied with a sponge or soft cloth .
Before you begin, review the following safety mechanisms that are provided with this unit .
Child‑proof lock
The child-proof lock prevents unsupervised operation by children . While in this "locked" state, all buttons are
disabled .
➤ To engage the child proof lock, press and hold the Cancel button for 3 seconds . A beep will sound, and the
indicator light will illuminate .
➤ To disengage the child-proof lock, press and hold the Cancel button for 3 seconds . A beep will sound, and
the indicator light will turn off .
Manual stop
For safety purposes, the following options are provided to abruptly stop all cooking functions:
➤ Press the Cancel button . You can restart the microwave by pressing the Start button, or erase all instructions
by pressing the Cancel button again .
➤ Open the door . You can restart the oven by closing the door and pressing the Start button .
Automatic protection mechanism
This microwave is equipped with an automatic protection mechanism, which operates according to the following
stipulations:
• When an over-temperature condition is experienced, the digital display will show an E 01 error message
("DE" alarm), and the system halts all cooking functions . After the temperature returns to the normal operating
range, the system enters standby mode . Press the Cancel button to resume normal operations .
• When an under-temperature condition is experienced, the digital display will show an E 02 error message
("DE" alarm), and the system halts all cooking functions . After the temperature returns to the normal operating
range, the system enters standby mode . Press the Cancel button to resume normal operations .
• If the sensor is short circuited, the system enters protection mode and displays an E 03 error message . After
the fault is cleared, press the Cancel button to resume normal operations .
Automatic cooling feature
This microwave is equipped with an automatic cooling feature . During any cooking mode (microwave, grill,
convection), when the cooking time meets or exceeds two minutes, the exhaust fan will continue to operate for
three minutes automatically to cool the oven . This feature helps to prolong the life of the unit .
