5.5 Hook network

If one radio control unit is connected to several hooks, a hook
network is created. In this case, the radio control buttons
(open/close swivel hook, workplace lighting and status query)
will perform the action in question for all the levo hooks in the
network. For the information symbols, the following applies:
• The battery charge status display shows the charge status of
the weakest battery.
• The status display will light up as soon as at least ONE hook
in the network reports an error.
• The display for contact with a lifting device will light up as
soon as ALL hooks in the network report the required contact
with the lifting device.
5.6 Disconnecting the levo hook
from the radio control unit
To disconnect a levo hook from a radio control unit, please
proceed as described in section 5.4. To confirm that the
disconnection process has been completed successfully, the
status display on the battery will give two short flashes.

5.7 Charging station

If only the red LED lights up on the charge status display, the
battery is almost empty and needs to be recharged. Always
use the pewag levo charging station to charge the battery.
To charge the battery, proceed as follows:
1. Unlock the battery and remove it from the levo hook as
shown in section „Removing the battery".
2. Insert the battery in the pewag levo charging station and lock
it as shown in section „Inserting the battery".
3. Connect the device plug of the pewag levo charging station
to a power source.
The battery will charge automatically and the charging station
does not need to be activated separately.
Among other factors, the charging time will depend on the
surrounding temperature. When all green LEDs light up, the
battery is fully charged.

To see the progress of the charging process, the battery must
be activated. If the battery was completely empty, hold down
the on-button of the battery for several sections to activate it.
The charging process will stop automatically (deep discharge
and overcharge protection). Leave the battery to cool down for
at least 5 minutes after charging and before inserting it in the
pewag levo hook LH.
Never attempt to charge the battery using a
device other than the original pewag charging
station!
Never attempt to repair the charging station
yourself!

5.8 peTAG

The peTAG is located on the side of the casing, above the
identification plate on the left-hand side. The peTAG is an
NFC chip designed to support you with the regular inspection
and identification of the pewag levo hook. For more detailed
information, please visit petag.pewag.com.
This link tells you everything you need to know about the
intelligent testing equipment offered by pewag.
6. Optional equipment and
accessories
In addition to the extensive basic equipment, the following add-
ons are available for the levo hook, which may be integrated
ex works, included in the scope of delivery or purchased
separately at a later point. These add-ons were designed to
make your levo hook even more powerful. If you are planning
to retrofit modules 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3 of your levo hook, please
note that this must be done by pewag austria GmbH or an
authorised pewag dealer.
Please contact your supplier for
more information.
6.1 Magnetic
module with
sensor
With this module, you may lift
ferromagnetic materials such as
the master link of a chain sling
from a distance without having
to attach the link to the swivel
hook manually. To do this, open
the swivel hook and lower the
levo hook until the magnet
module has attracted the lifting
device (see fig. 9).
