SYNCHRONISATION
DIGITAL PT8 can be synchronised with another DIGITAL PT8 managing and protecting two pumps with cascade operating with
alternate start sequence. Steps to follow to calibrate the synchronisation:
1. Set the pressure start and stop values identically on both the devices
For optimum synchronisation operation, the difference between the start and stop pressures must be at least 1 bar.
2. GO TO ADVANCED MENU: + +
- In point 2: select E01 in one unit (this will be the MASTER) and E02 for the other unit (this will be the SLAVE).
- In point 3: select identical differential parameter d.XX. It is the difference in pressure to start the main and auxiliary pump; it is also the
difference between the stop pressures of both pumps.
3. Press repeatedly until exiting from the ADVANCED MENU
4. Press to disable this unit. The screen will signal "OFF"
5. Press one more time in both devices to enable synchronisation.
Note: After 10 cycles the unit configured as E01 will show pressure and the unit configured as E02 will show on the screen the amps
SYSTEM REACTION
Allows selecting of the type of operation such as conventional pressure switch (nc normally closed) or
reverse pressure switch (no =normally open).
In the case of installation on pressure groups it allows individual definition of (E00), Master (E01) or Slave
(E02)
It allows establishing of the differential between "Start pressure1" and "Start pressure2" and/or "Stop
pressure1" and "Stop pressure2".
It allows setting of a delay between 0 and 9 seconds upon start-up (It is not available in the synchronised
mode).
It allows setting of a delay between 0 and 9 seconds for shutdown
It allows activating of the system of automatic periodic resets ART (Ar1) or deactivating of them (Ar0).
It allows setting of the minimum differential between "Start pressure" and "Stop pressure" between the
values of 0.5 bar (7.2 psi) and 1.5 bar (21.7 psi)
It allows setting of a minimum working pressure below which the device detects insufficient water. It is
very useful in the basic DIGITAL PT8 model where there is no absorbed current reading
Detection of insufficient water settable between 5 and 99 seconds
It allows establishing of a nominal current t% above which the device will activate the overcurrent
protection.
It allows activation of the self-learning of the absorbed current of the pump (dr1) or deactivation of it (dr0).
