COOL = Cool position
By pressing the COOL button to cool down the hair, the air temperature is lowered as long as the
COOL button is depressed, irrelevant of the setting of the main switch (for cooling curls respectively a
styled section of hair). The COOL SHOT push button a can be locked.
Ion-generator
FIG. 6 (see fig. 1)
Your appliance is fitted with an ion generator. Activating this function will give your hair enhanced
shine while styling. The ion generator also prevents the build-up of static charge on your hair.
To activate the function, turn the ion on/off switch c to position „ION" (see fig. 6). The ion indicator
light should light up. The ion indicator lamp lights green.
The ion generator is now permanently activated. To deactivate the ion generator, push the ion on/off
switch c downwards.

Danger to life from electric shock!
There is danger to life in case of contact with live cables or components! Hence, please observe the

• Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the mains.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
WARNING!
Danger of burns from hot appliance components!
Parts of the appliance can be very hot and cause burns even after it has been switched off. Hence,
allow the appliance to cool down fully without fail before cleaning it.

Please observe the following safety instructions to avoid damages and risks attributable to improper
use:
• Protect the appliance from dust, dirt and fluff.
• Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
• You can clean your appliance with a slightly damp cloth and dry it with a soft dry cloth.
