5 Putting into operation
5.4 Equipping the torch body
EN - 10
WARNING
Risk of injury
Dangerous voltage due to plasma power source.
• All manual plasma-cutting torches are equipped with a torch-specific fuse
terminal for protection of the operator.
To disconnect the wear parts, it must be removed, automatically
interrupting the switch-on circuit. Independently of this safety switch-off
circuit, the plasma power source must be switched off in any case when
replacing wear parts!
CAUTION
Risk of injury
Physical injury due to damage to components.
• Soiled nozzle bores reduce air throughput and cooling. This increases
the wear to all equipment parts, ultimately destroying the torch body.
Always ensure that the protective cap and all wear parts are clean and
properly seated.
1 Screw in electrode and tighten it using a multiple wrench.
2 Screw in the selected plasma nozzle and tighten it using a multiple wrench.
The selection of the plasma nozzle is determined primarily by the material
to be cut and the current intensity.
The following standard values apply:
Tab. 5 on page EN-6
Depending on the torch version, further wear parts must be used.
Observe their correct sequence as shown in the following figures and the
current order documentation.
3 Tighten protective cap hand tight.
4 Insert fuse terminal.
