that the shearing machine and the charger are complete.

1.4 Safety Regulations for the charger

• Only the prescribed charger may be used.
• For operating the charger only use the voltage prescribed on the

charger's nameplate.
• Never expose the charger and the battery blocks to direct sunlight.
• When charging never expose the charger and the battery blocks to
dampness.
• Avoid a continuous operating of the charger; make a pause of 15
minutes.
• Do not open the charger or rectify it by yourself.
• Do not use consumed or defective battery blocks. This can damage
the charger.
• Metal parts or inflammable objects may not penetrate through the
ventilation slots into the charger. This could lead to electric shocks or
damage the charger.

1.5 Safety Regulations for the battery blocks

• Opening the battery is prohibited.
• Only use prescribed battery blocks. Do not use common dry batteries

or car batteries for cordless shearing machines.
• Never charge battery blocks using electric generators or a dc power
supply.
• Charge the battery blocks in a clean and dry place.
• Do not allows foreign bodies to penetrate into the connection aper-
ture of the battery block.
• Never short-circuit the battery blocks. A short-circuit of the battery
blocks causes excess of current and overheating. The battery can burn
through or suffer other damage.
• Do not let the battery get in touch with fire since this could cause the
battery to explode.

• Do not throw away or dispose of used-up batteries by yourself. Used-
up battery blocks have to be specially disposed of. Therefore they must
be handed in the purchasing point where they came from.
