Recommendation for the outside air inlet
In passive-energy houses, suitable
i
outside air pre-heating is vitally
important, in order to ensure
continuous operation.
One of the following components must be
used:
a brine earth heat exchanger
or
a WRH + TH 10 hydraulic heat register
(see heat register connection diagram)
or
a ERH 16-2 electrical air heater + LW9 +
TH 10 + US16T (see Chapter 9.6.5,
Connection option 6)

Recommendation for the supply air duct
If the ventilation unit is installed with a
i
hydraulic re-heating register (supply
air) in a passive energy house, a
thermostat (TH 10) has to be installed
to protect against supply air that is too
cold.
Use a TH 10 thermostat in the supply air duct
as a safety device for the WRH water-using
re-heating register. This switches the ventila-
tion unit off if the supply air temperatures
drop too low, (see Chapter 9.6.5, Connection
option 5) Recommendation: Switch-off tem-
perature 5 °C and differential temperature 3 K.
Connection to KNX/IEB Bus
The ventilation unit can also be operated
together with KNX/EIB bus components, e.g.
with fan coil actuators or operating panels
from the corresponding KNX supplier.
Further KNX/EIB modules can be integrated
in the system bus without problem, e.g. CO
sensors, timer switches and motion detectors.
