9.5 Connecting ventilation channels
Damage to the unit caused by
NOTICE
objects in the ventilation
channels.
 First install the ventilation unit
with all supply air and exhaust
air channels.
 Make sure that no objects fall
into the connectors and that
there are no objects in the
ventilation channels.
 Insulate the channels (diffusion resistant)
from outside as far as the ventilation unit, in
order to avoid the build up of condensation
on the outside of the outgoing air and
outside air channels.
 The duct insulation must be done using the
best materials available.
 Mask the joints well and decouple the wall
and roof outlets with strips of insulation.
 Insulate the supply and exhaust air ducts
outside the thermal building envelope if the
ducts pass through a cold area.
Recommended connection ducts
For connecting to the connection couplings:
● Folded spiral-seams duct Ø 160 with
corresponding elements and connecting
pieces.
● Elastic connections for decoupling /
reducing sound transfer.
