7.2.2 Fan failure
In the case of a failure of one of the two fans
(no speed), a fault message (all 3 LEDs
flashing) appears on the room air control
RB-ZF4 after about a minute.
At the same time as the fault message is
displayed:
● In the case of a supply air fan failure,
the defined voltage for the supply air and
exhaust air fan switches off. Both fans
remain stationary. However the mains
voltage of 230 V continues to be supplied
to both fans. Any connected external
operating display switches off.
● In the case of an exhaust fan failure, the
defined voltage for the exhaust air fan
switches off. The exhaust air fan remains
stationary while the supply air fan
continues to operate. However the mains
voltage of 230 V continues to be supplied
to both fans. Any connected external
operating display switches off.
Procedure in the case of fan failure
If the front door is closed /door contact switch
is activated), there is a continuous 230 VAC
mains power supply to the terminal pairs
and the "A2" control circuit board (see
Chapter 9.6 Electrical connection).
Danger to life from electric
shock.
Never touch live components.
DANGER
Check the supply voltage to the exhaust air
and supply air fans at the terminal pairs
and .
Check the function of the door contact
switch. Exchange this if necessary.
After deleting the fault message as described
in Chapter 7.2.1, there is still 1.7 to 10 VDC
defined voltage for approx. 1 minute on the
plug pins of the "A2" control circuit board.
After that, the fault message appears again.
Supply air
Connector pin
Check the supply air and exhaust air fan
defined voltage at the plug pins: supply air
on pins 1 and 3, exhaust air on pins 5
and 3.
The defined voltage for both the supply
air and exhaust air fan is in each case
1.7 to 10 VDC.
7.2.3 Temperature sensor fault
The ventilation unit goes into fault mode if the
internal frost protection temperature sensor
fails, caused by a short circuit, cable break or
because it is not connected. Both fans switch
off immediately. The fault message at the
room air control goes out after approx.
1 minute (no LED is an any more), both fans
remain switched off.
