● The ventilation unit is only
intended for domestic use and
similar purposes.
● It is only approved as a floor-
mounted unit or mounted on
the wall with the optional wall
bracket.
● The RB 300 or RB 400 may
only be used in line with the
calculations/layouts made by
the Engineering office.
4.3 Predictable misuses
AEREX is not liable for dama-
ges caused by use contrary to
the intended purpose.
Under no circumstances
should the unit be used:
● close to flammable materials,
liquids or gases.
● for the conveying of
chemicals, aggressive gases
or vapours.
● in potentially explosive atmos-
pheres.
● in swimming pools.
● for drying out new builds.
● in combination with laboratory
extractors.
● in combination with extractor
hoods that are connected
directly to the controlled
domestic ventilation exhaust
air channel.
It is not permitted to
i
integrate components in
the exhaust duct that
influence the temperature,
humidity or air volume. For
instance, it is forbidden to
connect a drying cabinet to
the exhaust duct because
this will result in corrosion
of metal parts on the inside
of the controlled domestic
ventilation unit.
For reasons energy usage,
i
we recommend using
extractor hoods in
circulating air mode.
4.4 Regulations for operation
with fireplaces
Observe the current rules from
the German Federation of Chim-
ney Sweeps (Evaluation criteria
for the joint operation of fire-
places – domestic ventilation –
extractor hoods) as well as
other pertinent regulations and
guidelines.
