Incorrect starting conditions or battery malfunctions

Connected power modules with

Battery voltage during the
charging operation higher than the
entered limit (Umax) - Charging
operation is aborted.
Voltage monitors (absolute
values) of the individual modules
connected in parallel differ by
more than 3% from the nominal
voltage of the other modules.
If the battery temperature rises
to >(Tbat MAX+5)°C during the
charging operation, this is aborted.
If the temperature in the charging
device rises to >(Tint+5)°C, the
charging operation is aborted.

Elimination
• Use correct modules
• Calibrate power modules
• Check the battery and consumption
• Measure the electrolyte density and the
voltage of the individual cells. Carry out
desulfating charging operation.
• Check the battery voltage
• Disconnect battery
• If it remains connected, the charging
process is automatically initiated aftervol-
tage drop
• Check the battery electrolyte density,
temperature, voltage of the individual cells
• Check the charging device settings, as
well as the connection to the battery
• Repair/replace the module
• Reduce the ambient temperature
• Longer breaks between the charging and
discharging of the battery
• Check the charging device settings
• Reduce the ambient temperature.
• Thoroughly clean the charging device.
• If the charging device is equipped with a
dust filter, check this and replace, if
necessary.
